#about
about me...
I’m Stuart.
I’m most alive empowering people and teams to lead and manage themselves in savage conditions and hostile terrain — at the very edge of our comfort zones, where conversations go deep and learning gets real.
Whether it’s a whiteout on the Cairngorm Plateau, a desert traverse in the Atlas Mountains, a jungle rendezvous in Belize or trekking a remote valley in the Himalayas — beautiful, unforgiving ground that gives me a quiet sense of purpose and contentment.
My work is simple: bring people together, settle the pace, listen well, and move with intent. That thread runs through Fire Events, Peak Challenge and Kyashar — different expressions of the same aim: helping people think clearly, look after each other and take the next considered step.
My craft sits at the intersection of adventure, the boardroom, problem-solving, leadership programmes, team development and wild places, guided by the quiet power of nature.
I design and deliver experiences that help people think clearly and work with care and trust — through Fire Events: leadership and team programmes that practise decision-making under pressure; through Peak Challenge: outdoor challenges in the UK and overseas that build resilience, give a strong sense of achievement and shared leadership; through Kyashar: back-to-what-matters, purpose-led retreats that reconnect people to their values, their flow and their purpose.
Years in wild places — the North West Highlands of Scotland, the Alps, the Himalayas, Arctic Norway, the jungles of Belize, the Atlas Mountains, the Andes — have shown me how trust, communication and clear roles unlock performance. I’m logical when it counts, a people person always; equally at home guiding a team through a whiteout or a tough quarter.
What you can expect is simple: intelligent challenge, steady judgement, and a space where people feel safe enough to stretch. When teams slow down, step outside and speak honestly, good things follow — deeper trust, a steadier rhythm and a renewed sense of purpose.
